Great pictures! Looks like the cemetary is really well taken care of. I love the crypt with the below ground door!

    Yeah.... it is breathtaking there.

In order to get that particular shot I had to dare some perilous stone steps. (Well perilous for me, I’m still unsteady on my feet since the accident.) But it was totally worth it just to sit right there and take in the whole scene, the decay, wondering how deep it goes, how wide, how many souls now call it their final resting place?

I also love the one that says the name of the murderer right on the headstone and the fact that someone obviously has tried to sand down the inscription.

I love to see those types of things!

Call out the murderer, why not? I would if I was the one left behind!

Once in a while you find humorous poems etc too, though seldom have I had the camera back then. Now, it stays in the bag and goes with me everyday!

        As well it should!:)

My wife thinks I am nuts as I take pictures of "everything."
        Not!

I take pictures of only interesting things, like the kids, things I want to build, etc...

        I am babbling right:)

If it wasn't for the digital age, I wouldn't take the time in the darkroom to develop as many photos as I take!

I take photos of everything I can, the camera's always there with me!

As for graves, I've got so many rubbings, etchings, sketches, photos and all sorts of things of them. Some of it is so no one ever forgets and has a constant reminder. My personal reasons are a conncection with history and the afterlife as well as a good reminder of my own mortality and another reminder to be grateful for where we are today.

I see more graves from the great western settlement of little children that never stood a chance and I'm very grateful to have not lived back then when they had nothing to help them.

          ;) Now look who's babbling?!!!
