New pics from new guy

Hi. I have always taken pictures of cemetaries when I go on vacatsions since I was a kid. Here are a hand full. I had more but computer is having some fits right now.

All the cemetaries are wonderful, great feelings and very cleansing feeling except the Bachelor Grove cemetary outside of Chicago. It has a real bloody history. Mob used it as a dumping ground and was abandon long ago. Its been used supposedly for rituals and gang things in recent years. Hardly any graves have been left untouched. Many have been dug up and most Markers that survive have been damaged. Two pics have some mysterious mist and images. THought may enjoy those. People think one looks like it has a profile in the mist.

The Rochester Cemetary is huge and beautiful. Very hilly and a great place to just wander and explore. paths and trees great old valuts and markers. Famous people like Susan B Anthony and Frederick Doulgas.

If I can figure out whats up with my computer and scanner and images I will get some more black and white ones I have. The best ones from New Orleans arent retrieveable right now.

Thanks

Santa Rosa Rural cemetary

I just posted some photos from a visit yesterday. It's a small cemetary next to a larger more commercial one.

There are a few nice stones there. One set is a Father and son, both in the CSA (Confederate States of America. ie. the "South" during the Civil War) and both serving together, and somehow moved to Santa Rosa at some time after the war. The light was wrong for a good photo so I will have to go and shoot them again sometime later.

I found this cemetary in a Thomas guide and a friend of mind at work who lives in the town zeroed me in. There's only a small sign on a driveway thay you wouldn't look twice at to show the way.

The cemetary itself is pretty big and I didn't get to wxplore tho whole thing.

Im so happy to be part of this tribe... I have posted just a few of my favorite pics. I usually go to at least one cemetery a month. I don't quite know why, but they seem to help me reset. So I'll continue to post the pictures I take documenting my journey as a living spirit amongst memorials of the departed.

Thanks for giving me a forum,

Black Diamond, WA Cemetary

I uploaded some pictures I took at the Black Diamond Cemetary. Most of the pictures I took that day were to be used as Photoshop backgrounds. I'll go back soon and take better pictures of the tombstones. It's a facinating place. Black Diamond is a tiny coal mining town southeast of Seattle. It is said to be haunted. People have reported hearing miner's whistling and seeing their lamps. Others have reported seeing a white horse run through the cemetary.
